Is Rice becoming the new “fall guy”?

Well, it appears that Bob Woodward’s book (State of Denial) says it. My reading of Richard Clarke’s book (Against All Enemies) says it. What is they say? That Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice ignored warning of al Qaeda when she took office. She can try to rebut this all she wants, but it’s now gotten to the point of sounding like an old broken record given how many no longer interested people are coming out make this assertion.
Rice Dismisses Charge That She Ignored Qaeda Warning

SHANNON, Ireland, Oct. 2 — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said it was “incomprehensible” that she could have ignored dire terrorist threats two months before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Her remarks were meant to rebut an account in a new book by Bob Woodward saying that she failed to act on warnings from George J. Tenet, who was then the director of central intelligence.
Slowly but surely, the truth will make it out, and as with such matters, I’m sure the buck doesn’t stop w/Madame Secretary.
